Betty A. (Beck) Wright, 93, Logansport, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024, in the Ascension St. Vincent Hospital, Carmel.
Born April 27, 1930, in Flora, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Neva J. (Rienier) Heiland.
On September 10, 1949, in Young America, she was married to Don Beck, who preceded her in death. On November 25, 1972, in Monticello, she was married to Larry Wright, who also preceded in death.
Betty was a 1948 graduate of Logansport High School. For many years, she worked for Sears, Roebuck & Company – both downtown and then at the Logansport Mall. For the 13 years, she had worked as an accountant for Miller’s Carpet. For several years, Betty managed the Pleasant Valley Estates.
She is survived by two son, Don C. Beck, and Kim E. Beck and his wife Lori; her daughter-in-law, Theresa Beck; her sister, Lois Measel; three granddaughters, Rebecca Sottilare and her husband John, Mariah Dawn Beck and Elizabeth Rose Beck; one grandson, Mark David Beck; two great-grandsons, Ian Giles, and Vince and Drake Morris; one stepson, Lee Wright; and two stepdaughters, Barb Corwin and husband Michael and Jenny Holthouse.
In addition to her husbands and her parents, Betty was preceded in death one son, Dale “Eddie” Beck; one brother, Richard Heiland; and her stepfather, Richard Crooks.
Family and friends will gather from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 19 in Fisher Funeral Chapel where a funeral service celebrating Betty’s life will be held at 7 p.m. Bradford Moulton will officiate at the service.
Interment, at a later date, will be in Center U.M. Cemetery, near Young America.
