Brian Scott Laurence, 45, Logansport, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, February 29, 2024, at home.
Born November 21, 1978, in Logansport, he was the son of Brian “Scotty” and Toni (Goff) Laurence, who survive.
Brian was a 1997 graduate of Logansport High School. He was employed with T & L Tool and Die for many years.
An avid sports enthusiast, Brian had served as a coach as well as a board member with the Logansport Girls Softball League. He was a diehard fan of the Chicago Cubs and Bears. You never knew what to expect from Brian. A day with him was never ordinary. With his fun sense of humor, life was an adventure. He made even a visit to Chuck E. Cheese with his kids feel like a vacation! His signature fashion statement always included designer sunglasses, his favorite team’s hat and Jordan tennis shoes.
Surviving with his parents are his son, Nicholas Scott Laurence (his mother: Ashley Schmidt) of Greenwood, and his daughter, Breeona Lynn Laurence (her mother: Christie Brown) of Logansport; two sisters, Jerri (Jerry) Snider, and Toni D. Laurence, all of Logansport; one nephew, Corry Cox; two nieces, Bayli Torrey, and Logan Torrey; one great-niece, Bexli Torrey (who lovingly nicknamed her great uncle “Candy Man”); and several cousins.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, March 7th at Fisher Funeral Chapel,
The funeral service celebrating Brian’s life will take place at 7 p.m. immediately following the visitation Thursday. Pastor Hagin Haitt will officiate at the service.
A family graveside service will be held on Friday, March 8th at Mount Hope Cemetery.
