Carol S. Berkshire, 80, of Logansport, was surrounded by the love of her family in the comfort of her home when she passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024.

Born December 25, 1943, in Logansport, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Ivan Boller and Mary (Engle) Boller Clem.

She met the love of her life at Nick’s Roller Rink and the couple had been inseparable ever since. Carol was married on November 17, 1963, to Robert F. “Bob” Berkshire, Jr. at Grace Bible Church.

He made a country girl out of her, and she never returned to the city. She loved being a farmer’s wife.

She was devoted to her family, and they were her reason for living. In all of her children’s school activities, sports, and especially 4-H, Carol was always there for them, cheering them on and supporting them. She had a wonderful laugh and a great sense of fun. She and Bob loved to travel. They wintered in Texas for many years.

Surviving with her husband, Bob, of 60 years, are her children, Cindy (Mike) Howard, Logansport, Becky (Butch) Mittica, Coats, North Carolina, and John (Sabrina) Berkshire, Logansport; two sisters, Rose Clem (Carl Berkshire), Logansport, and Sharon (Don) Curnutt, Monticello; her beloved grandchildren, Kayla (Matt) Gibson, Preston Howard, Samuel Mittica, Daniel Mittica, Brittany Berkshire (Travis), Braxton Berkshire (Laura), and Brayden Berkshire; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Garry Boller, her sister, Pat Sedam, and her stepfather, Raymond Clem.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, March 3rd in Fisher Funeral Chapel.

A funeral service celebrating Carol’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 4, 2024, in the funeral chapel with Mick Schoenradt officiating.

Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cass County 4-H Fair Association.
