George Price, 88 of Logansport, passed away Friday, March 22, 2024, in Woodbridge Health Campus.
Born October 5, 1935, in Cass County, IN, he was the son of the late Russell and Adaline (Newport) Price.
On November 21, 1962, in the former 9th Street Christian Church, he was married to Marjorie Ann (Smith) Price. She preceded in death on January 17, 2024.
A graduate of Walton High School, George went on to earn both a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in Education from Indiana University.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the start of the Vietnam War era.
George retired from the Logansport Community School Corporation following a 30-year career as a school teacher at Fairview Elementary. School.
A member of the former 9th Street Christian Church, George had attended Onward Christian Church.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Dawn Price, of Middlebury, IN; two grandchildren, Joseph Ellis Price, and Katelyn (Kelly) Amaizo; his brother Harold Price, Logansport; his sister, Arleen (Keith) Murray, Houston, Texas; a brother-in-law, Jerry Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Price and his sister, Charlotte Conrad.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 27 in Fisher Funeral Chapel, where a funeral service celebrating George’s life will begin at 2 p.m.
Burial, with military honors, will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
