Kay would watch any kind of sports, but most enjoyed anything involving Purdue University.  She and her husband Gary spent many nights attending Purdue basketball games for both the men’s and women’s teams.   During the summer months while in Logansport, she enjoyed watching the grandkids swim.  She was very proud of Brady & Beckett and loved hearing about their athletic and academic achievements.  Kay loved animals, especially any kind of dogs.  She looked forward to visits from service animals while living in her retirement community in Illinois.  During her short time at the retirement home, Kay served as floor president and was a staff favorite.

Survivors include her son, Brice Hiner and his wife, Heidi of Darien, Illinois and grandchildren, Brady and Beckett Hiner of Darien, Illinois.

Private family services will be held.

The burial will be at Ever Rest Memorial Park.
