Kiel Michael McDonald

Kiel Michael McDonald, 41, of Galveston, passed away after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family.  Kiel was born December 10, 1982, in Kokomo to Mike and Helen (Hall) McDonald.  He graduated from Northwestern High School in 2001, and later attended I.U.K. and Grace College where he played college baseball for a year.  Kiel was a true sports fan, he enjoyed all sports and played a lot of baseball, basketball and softball growing up. He was a lifelong Cubs, Bears, and Villanova men’s basketball fan. Kiel loved his family, especially his niece and nephew. He was never too busy to visit with grandparents when he could. Those that had the pleasure of knowing Kiel loved Kiel. 

Surviving family include his parents, Mike and Helen McDonald of Galveston; his sister of whom he shared a birthday five years apart, Audrey (Paul) Spencer of Muncie; niece, Hadley Spencer and nephew Hudson Spencer both of Muncie;  paternal grandmother, Jane McDonald of Galveston and several aunts and uncles, Bob (Leslie) Hall, Kenny Hall, Charlie (Penny) Hall, Rita (Dennis) Long, Donald (Linda) McDonald, Debbie (Roger) Wolfe and Mike (Karen) McDonald.  Surviving cousins include, Jennifer (Chip) Pierce, Briana (Mike) Dodd, Aimee (Matt) Moulder, Bryce (Chelsea) McDonald, Deacon, Maelee, Lynn, Katie (TJ) Miley, Emerson and Elaina.  He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bob and Kay Hall, paternal grandfather, James E. McDonald and uncles, Mike and Martin Hall.
