Wade D. Easter

Wade D. Easter, 62, of Kokomo, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at St. Francis Hospital in Greenwood.   He was born August 30, 1961, in Kokomo to Floyd D. and V. Dolores (Rush) Easter.

Wade was a 1979 graduate of Maconaquah High School in Bunker Hill.  He became a Heavy Equipment operator after high school and worked for Mohr Construction for many years retiring in 2023.  He enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley, and was an awesome griller, nobody could make ribs like he could.

Surviving family include his father, Floyd Easter of Kokomo; his children, Quenten (Ashley) Easter of Galveston; Gretchen Taylor of Elwood; and Madelyn (Drew Simone) Easter of Fishers.  He is also survived by his grandkids, Leland Taylor, Adeline Easter, Zander Taylor and Aiden Easter, and brother, Karl Easter of Wabash.  He is preceded in death by his mother, Dolores.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2024, at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Pastor Bill Collins officiating.  Visitation will take place from 4 – 7 p.m. prior to service time on Monday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be given to the Multiple Myeloma Foundation in Wade’s memory. www.myeloma.org
