Lloyd Ellen Lail, 84 of Logansport, passed away Friday, March 29, 2024, at Memorial Hospital in Logansport.
Born on July 6, 1939, in Logansport, Ellen is the daughter of the late Ralph and Mary Ellen (Smyser) Tucker. On December 26, 1965, in Logansport, Ellen married Norman Lee Lail who preceded in death on August 28, 1997.
Ellen was a retired schoolteacher. She also taught Sunday School and participated in missionary work in Peru, South America. She was proud to teach missionary children and others, English and History. Ellen was a former member of Landmark Baptist Church and loved to read, sing, and listen to music.
Surviving Ellen is a son, Andy Lail of Logansport; daughter, Lori Ellen Lail of Lafayette; four grandchildren, Sophia (Derek) Bryan of Taft, CA; Brinn Ellen Neal of Lafayette; River Lail of Lafayette and Alex Neal of Lafayette; two great grandsons, Teddy Bryan and Vincent Bryan; and a sister, Elizabeth Parkins of Logansport.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John Tucker.
A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on April 3, 2024, at Gundrum Funeral Home. Ellen will be interred next to her husband in the Cain Cemetery, Carrier Mills, Illinois.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service on Wednesday.
