Ramona Sue (Carey) Kraus

Ramona Sue Kraus, age 87, formerly Walton, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, in Aperion Care, Peru.
Born in Kokomo, on Thursday, March 18, 1937, she was the daughter of Donald and Margaret (Jones) Carey.
On March 2, 1957, in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Logansport, Sue was married to Lawrence A. ‘Larry’ Kraus. He preceded her in death on December 1, 2002.
A 1955 graduate of Tipton Township High School, she had been employed at Mer-Del’s Quality Foods, R & J Appliances, Memorial Hospital and Saint Joseph Hospital.
Sue enjoyed cooking, flowers, hosting family gatherings and being involved in the children’s activities. She was an avid supporter of kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews.
She was always willing to provide a cherry cheesecake for visitors to enjoy. She had an open door for family and friends. And, boy! Did mom love her sweet tea!
Surviving are daughter, Teresa (Kraus) Keay and her husband, Gary, Logansport, and son, Ron Kraus, his wife, Jenny, Fishers; sisters, Patricia Vest and her husband, Dennis, and Julie Nolan. Also surviving are grandchildren, Kristi, Kyann, Kirsten, Sean, Drew, Mandy, Joshua and Emma; along with several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Also, preceding Sue in death were a son, Lawrence Gregory Kraus; siblings, Ronald Carey, Phillip Carey and Dixie (Carey) Freeman; and great grandson, Ayden Brenner.
The Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 22, 2024, at All Saints Catholic Church, with Fr. Michael Block officiating.
The Visitation will also be on Monday, from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m., in All Saints Parish Hall prior to the Funeral Mass.
Interment will follow in the Mount Calvary section of Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to All Saints Youth Group.
