Shirley A. Wagoner, 75, of Rochester passed away peacefully at 5:03 p.m., Saturday, April 6, 2024 at AMG Specialty Hospital in Muncie.

Born on May 15, 1948 in Rochester, she was the daughter of the late F. Leroy and Vivian (Applegate) Crippen.

She was a 1966 North Caston High School graduate.

On March 7, 1999 she married Wayne Wagoner.  He preceded her in death on May 27, 2011.

Shirley retired from FSA in Rochester.  She was a member of Grass Creek United Methodist Church where she played the organ and piano for many years and also played for many weddings and funerals.  Shirley enjoyed reading, crocheting and playing music.   She was also a former member and played piano for the music group “The Notables”.

Survivors include her sister, Jean Rock (Rick) of Grass Creek, nieces and nephews, Art Crippen of Indianapolis, Andy Crippen (Kara) of Plymouth, Tammy Vigar (Steve) of Rochester, Carrie Lambert (Scott), Sandy Rock Luhnow (Brad) of Kewanna and Kelly Wolf of Kewanna and great nieces and great nephews, Jessie Rock Wolf, Emily Vigar, John Cooper, Kelsie Wolf, Terry Rock Luhnow, Aubrey Long, Caleb Vigar, Addison Crippen,  Amelia Crippen, Alexis Aistrop, Chance Peregrine and Calli Peregrine.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Ed Crippen.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Metzger Chapel, 123 E. Main St., Kewanna.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Grass Creek United Methodist Church with Pastor David Sommers officiating.

Burial will follow at Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Grass Creek United Methodist Church.
