William “Bill” Ellison, 68 of Logansport passed into the arms of his Savior at home on April 25, 2024.

He was born in Winamac on September 2, 1955 to the late Buford Ellison and Margaret Ann Rinebarger.

He was married in 2014 to Mary Stewart and previously married to Pam Rogers who preceded him in death in 2013.

He honorably served in the United States Navy and family and friends enjoyed listening to him as he proudly shared his experiences.

Bill enjoyed camping, hunting and especially fishing.

He retired from the Cass County Jail as a jailor.

Bill is survived by his wife, Mary Ellison of Logansport, son, William “Cory” Ellison (Ellen) of Bennetts Switch, step children, Billy Hoffman (Tammy) of Peru and Lisa Newman (John) of Flakes, Kentucky, mother in law, Carole Rogers of Logansport, brother, Dennis Ellison (Jan) of Logansport, sister, Peg Glenn of Logansport and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Harrison Chapel, 304 S. Chicago St., Royal Center with Pastors John Landes and John Newman officiating.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

Burial with military rites will be conducted at Kistler Cemetery.
