Karen J. Maple, 82, of Logansport, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024, in her residence.

Born on May 5. 1942, in Logansport, Karen is the daughter of the late Gerald F. and Evelyn (Leisure) Ryan. On August 17, 1963, in Logansport, IN Karen married Michael B. Maple who survives.

Karen was a retired teacher for the Southeastern School Corporation. Most of her teaching career was teaching at Thompson Elementary School.

Surviving along with her husband Mike, is a son, Tony (Wendy) Maple, of Logansport; brother, Terry (Jennifer) Ryan, of Florida; 4 grandchildren, Hannah Maple, Reagan (Meti) Aliu, Henry Maple, Aleksey Maple; one great grandchild, Ilira Aliu; several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Powers officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.

Visitation will be held from 11:00AM until the time of service on Thursday, also in the funeral home.
