Mary L. (Lucy) Byers, of Logansport, In Age 78 passed from this life at 6:03 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2024, at Logansport Memorial Hospital.
She was born July 29, 1945, in Logansport, IN. The daughter of Clarence and Evelyn Hanson Lucy. On December 24, 1964, she was Married to the love of her life, Thomas E. “Pinky” Byers, who survives.
Together Thomas and Mary shared a wonderful 58 years filled with love, family, friends, and happiness. Mary was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to many.
Mary enjoyed art of many kinds, such as painting, sewing, and leather working. She also enjoyed helping with the Boy Scouts Troop 202/227 and spending time with her family.
Along with her Husband Thomas, Mary is survived by a son; Tracy A. Byers, adopted son; Troy Byers. Grandsons; Logan (Maggie) Byers and Brandon (Alisha) Byers. Great-Grandchildren; Benjamin, Jackson, Oliver, Aiden, Riley, Morgan, and Mannix.
Brothers; Edward (Martha) Lucy, George (Kathy) Lucy, John (Suzanne) Lucy, and Gordon (Kay) Lucy. As well as numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Mary was loved by everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed, her family would like to invite those who loved her to come share your stories and memories with them June 15th, 2024, at Cross-Wind United Methodist Church from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. that will be followed by a private event for family.
Mary was proceeded in death by her parents Clarence and Evelyn Lucy, as well as a great- granddaughter Marlee.
In lieu of flowers Mary’s wish was for you to make a donation to a worthy charity of your choice.
