Shirley Janett Cox, 88, of Logansport, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Wood Bridge Health Campus.

Shirley was born December 3, 1935, in Carroll County. She was the daughter of the late John and Ruby Miller.

On November 10, 1951, she married Douglas Cox in Logansport, he preceded her in death in 1981.

Shirley worked at several factories in Logansport throughout her career. She was employed at Muehlhausen Springs, Controls, and Gossard.

Shirley enjoyed staying busy, doing jigsaw puzzles and crocheting. She cherished the role of being a grandmother to her six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her two sons, Jamie Cox, Thomas (Sophie) Cox all of Logansport; sister, Barb Miller; grandchildren, Jeff Etherington, Kellie Boyer, Tina Girton,

Shirley Patterson, Izabella Cox, James Cox, and great grandchildren Hannah, Lillie, Nate, Trevor, Shyann, Shaylee, Aspen, Kerrigan, Justina, and Aspen.

Along with her husband she was preceded in death by her sons, Eugene Cox, Ronald Cox, and a daughter Janice Etherington.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Shirley, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Fisher Funeral Chapel.

A visitation be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.

Burial will follow at Ever Rest Memorial Park.
