Marty E. Pattengale, 79, of Logansport, passed away Monday, June 24, 2024, at Franciscan Health Lafayette East Hospital in Lafayette.

Born on August 8, 1944, in Colburn, Indiana, Marty is the son of the late Raymond Wiley Pattengale and Ida Mae (Smith) Pattengale. On July 14, 1965, Marty married Dian Lyn Wortley who preceded in death on Feb. 5, 1996. On December 31, 1997, in Logansport, Marty married Linda L. Burton who survives.

Marty retired from Kaufman Industries. He enjoyed game nights, golf, bowling, gambling and time with family and friends. Marty was a proud Army Veteran.

Surviving Marty is a son, Marty “Bill” W. Pattengale of Logansport, IN; daughter, Marcia Jean (James) Taylor of Logansport, IN; two step daughters, Patricia Baugh of Logansport, IN, Terri (James) Costello of Logansport, IN; Step Son, James Varese of Indianapolis, IN; five sisters, Cassie (Butch) Schley of Delphi, IN, Carolyn (Bob) Oliver of Idaville, IN, Lana Mabbitt of Lafayette, IN, Jane Harbolt of Colburn, IN, Alberta (Paul) Dawson of Lafayette, IN; six brothers, Pete (Pam) Pattengale of Battleground, IN, John (Brenda) Pattengale of New Richmond, IN, Bill (Janet) Saubert of Lafayette, IN, Ed (Faye) Saubert of Buffalo, IN, Tommy Vernon of Logansport, IN, Donny (Joann) Vernon of Camden, IN; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Jonathan Raymond Pattengale and seven siblings.

A celebration of life with full Military Rites will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, June 28, 2024, at Gundrum Funeral Home. A private burial will take place in the Musselman Cemetery in Carroll County.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
