Nina Bell James, 98, of Logansport, Indiana, passed away Saturday afternoon, June 8, 2024, at Woodbridge Health Campus.

Born June 19, 1925, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Schuyler and Edna (Reeves) Conklin.

On January 27, 1946, in Logansport, she was married to Paul F. James. He preceded her in death August 31, 1981.

Nina was a graduate of Logansport High School. She was retired from Logansport High School where she had worked as a custodian for many years.

Her faith and her love of family were the focus of her life. Nina was a longtime member of the Logansport First Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by her children: Larry James, Logansport, Linda Cook, Monticello, Carolyn Bell, Beaufort, SC, and Trish (Tim) Morris, Logansport; daughter-in-law, Reba James, Logansport; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great- grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Jeff James and Rodger James; sons-in-law, Wayne Cook and Dick Bell; and siblings, Leroy Conklin, Lloyd Conklin, and Bessie Sterrett.

Visitation hours will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 15, in Fisher Funeral Chapel.

A Funeral Service celebrating Nina’s life will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral chapel with Pastor Jeff Allen officiating.

Burial will follow in Davis Cemetery, near Burnettsville.
