Paige Ann Black, 64, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at her home.

Born on October 27, 1959, Paige was the daughter of Clifford and Shirley Grantham.

She was a proud resident of Logansport and a 1978 graduate of Logansport High School.

Paige married her high school sweetheart, William A. Black Jr., on October 30, 1982, after telling him to “do it or get off the pot”.

For over 20 years, Paige worked at Columbia Elementary as a teacher’s aide before enjoying a life of retirement with her husband.

Paige loved mushroom hunting, fishing, Colts football games, and most notably – she loved her grandchildren with every ounce of her being. She also took great pride in her garden, which will live on through plants she shared with family. Paige had the biggest heart and always gave the best advice. She will be sincerely missed.

She is survived by her husband, Bill; mother, Shirley Grantham; son, William (Ashleigh) Black; daughter, Ashley (Dalton) Prophet; grandchildren, Kenleigh Black, Richard Higley III, Hannah Prophet, Addison Higley, Serenity Higley, Liam Black, Colten Prophet; sister, Robin (Randy) Hamilton; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clifford.

Friends, family, and students are invited to Fisher Funeral Chapel at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2024, to honor and celebrate the life of Paige Black.

A visitation will be held at 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Ever Rest Memorial Park.
