Jerry V. Kitts

Jerry V. Kitts, 82, of Kokomo, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.  He was born March 3, 1942, in Kokomo to Luther E. and Mildred L. (Wilson) Kitts.  He married first married Sondra Evans and they later divorced.  He then married Charlena Bugher and she preceded him in death January 21, 2000.  He later married Sharon (Gilmour) Biddle and she survives. 

Jerry graduated from Kokomo High School in 1960, he then joined the United States Air Force and served 4 years.  After serving his country, he came home and went to work for Delco Electronics and retired with 30 years’ service. 

Surviving family include his wife, Sharon Biddle of Kokomo; son, Brian V. Kitts of Macy; adopted daughter, Melissa (Dan) Walton of Kokomo; adopted son, Travis (Michelle) Kitts of Kokomo; brother Steve (Sue) Kitts of Galveston; and sister, Patia (Tim) Kyal of Warner Robbins, Georgia.  He is also survived by several grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, second wife Charlena and sister Judith.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 11, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Kokomo with Pastor Doug Benham officiating.  Entombment will follow services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Family Worship Center in Kokomo.

Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston has been entrusted with arrangements.
