Larry Wayne Burrous, 81, of West Lafayette, formerly of Galveston passed away Sunday, July 7, 2024, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. He was born June 15, 1943, in Kokomo, Indiana to Wayne and Mildred (Perkins) Burrous.
Larry had a huge heart and would help anyone he could. He enjoyed working at the Red Barn in Galveston for several years. He also loved to mow yards in town and could be seen most days pulling his lawn mower behind his bicycle. Larry loved to talk with the town folk and even had his own bench in front of the Red Barn so he could sit awhile and tell stories to his friends. He was an avid IU Basketball fan and enjoyed playing Bingo.
Surviving family include his brothers, Jim (Roxane) Burrous and Robert Burrous. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Galveston Vol. Fire Dept. in Larry’s memory. No services are scheduled at this time.
