Bobby Lee Toon, 70, of Royal Center, Indiana, passed away in the comfort of his home early Wednesday morning, August 7, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born September 24, 1953, in Logansport, Indiana, he was the son of the late Joseph H. and Alma M. (Cotner) Toon.

On April 9, 1977, in Logansport, he was married to Debra (Allen) Toon, who survives.

A 1972 graduate of Logansport High School, Bobby worked in production at the Pepsi Cola Bottling Company.

A man with a “green thumb”, Bobby raised beautiful flower gardens on his own little slice of Heaven. He loved the outdoors and fishing was one of his favorite pastimes.

Surviving with his wife, Debra, of 47 years is one daughter, Angela Dewberry and her husband, Vince, of Grovetown, Georgia; two sisters, Barb Hamblin, of Kokomo, and Patty Shackelford and her husband Dave, of Logansport; two grandchildren, Tre’von Toon and Zariyah Dewberry, both of Grovetown, Georgia; two nieces, Tina Dixon and her husband, George, and Elizabeth Anderson and her husband, Sean; one nephew, David Shackelford, Jr. and his wife, Andrea; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his stepmother, Geneva (Cain) Toon and his nephew, Charles “Chuck” Shackelford.

In honoring Bobby’s wishes, there will be no services. A Celebration of Life get-together will be held at a later date.
