Edwin E. “Sunnie” Lank, age 90, of Lucerne, passed away peacefully on Wednesday Aug. 28, 2024, in his home.
Born July 25, 1934, in Lafayette, IN to the late Edwin S. and Helen (Martin) Lank. On August 17, 1957, in Brookston, IN he married Patricia A. Woodruff who survives.
Sunnie was a retired truck driver, an Army Veteran and member of The First Church of The Nazarene.
Survivors, including his wife Patricia, are two daughters, Vickie (Edwin) Quasebarth, Monticello; Lora Miller, Lafayette, IN; two sons, Dennis (Teresa) Lank, Indianapolis, IN; David (Kimberly) Lank, Royal Center, IN; four sisters, Diana (Don) Cross, Brookston, IN; Phyllis (Gerald) Durbin, Tupelo, MS; Carolyn Dubes, West Point, IN; Mary Mansfield, Woodruff, SC; one brother, Wayne (Zianna) Lank, Brookston, IN; 8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and a buttload of nieces and nephews. He was also especially fond of his dog, Mocha and his cat, Lady Bug.
Sunnie was preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia Martin and Joann Minniear.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm Friday August 30, 2024, in the First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Jeff Allen officiating. A burial will follow at Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00 am until the time of services on Friday at the First Church of the Nazarene.
