Jeffery Allen Stough, 56, Lucerne, passed away Friday morning, August 9, 2024, in the IU University Medical Center following a month-long illness.

Born July 24, 1968, Kokomo, Indiana, he was the son of Thomas L. and Linda (Brown) Stough. His mother survives in Lucerne.

On November 10, 2001, in Walton, he was married to Karen (Birnell) Stough, who survives.

A 1987 graduate of Kokomo High School, Jeff hauled oversized equipment for Truland Equipment (John Deere) for many years.

A member of the Walton Christian Church, Jeff’s priorities were God, Family and Country. More than anything in this world, he loved being with his wife, kids and grandkids. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed boating and camping. He leaves behind wonderful memories of trips to Kentucky, his favorite destination.

Surviving with his wife, Karen, and his mother, Linda, are three children: Staci Stough, Logansport, and Matt (Amanda) Stough, Peru (Cass County) and Brian Stough of Lucerne; one sister, Angela (Reuben) Creighton, of Montana; grandchildren, Jaylen Kline, Caysen Stough, Macoy Stough, Laetyn Britton, Riggs Stough, and Walker Stough; his mother-in-law, Edna Birnell, Winamac; two sisters-in-law, Zina Birnell, Michigan, and Cindy Birnell, Winamac; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tom; his father-in-law, Leroy Birnell; and his grandparents.

A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 13 in Fisher Funeral Chapel.

A Funeral Service celebrating Jeff’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 14, in the funeral chapel with Pastor Bill Collins officiating.

Burial will follow in Peoria Cemetery near Peru.
