Richard Lee “Rick” Horton

Richard Lee “Rick” Horton, 72 of Logansport, passed away Saturday morning, August 3, 2024, in the IU University Health Cancer Center.
Born January 24, 1952, in New Albany, Indiana, he was the son of the late Lee and Mary Louise (Burr) Horton.
On June 4, 1977, in Logansport, he was married to Deborah Kathryn (Deitz) Horton, who survives.
Rick was a proud veteran of the United States Army.
Rick earned his Associates of Science degree in Electronics. He was retired from United Technologies in Peru where he had worked as an electronic technician.
A member of the Church of Christ, Rick loved the Lord. He was a skilled carpenter who built his own home. Rick took great pride in his craftsmanship. He enjoyed technology, playing games on the computer and tablet. His warm sense of humor and his kindness to help anyone in need earned him many friends and much respect. He loved his wife’s little dog, Lucy Liu and spoiled her every chance he had.
Surviving with his wife of 47 years, Deborah, are his daughter, Nikki Horton; and his siblings, Ann Randall, Linda Chesser, and Tom Horton.
In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by two siblings, Bill Daily and Jim Horton.
