Jane M. Karle born September 26, 1956, to the late Ralph and Mary Louise Karle in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2024 at Mulberry Health. She left behind a legacy of quiet strength and a preference for simplicity. Known for her aversion to unnecessary attention and extravagance, she often chose solitude and was the first to gracefully leave any gathering.
She is survived by her children, Scott (Kayla) Davis, Eric (Sara) Davis, and Blair (Tim) DeLong; her husband, Thomas Farwick; grandchildren, Henry and Ginny Davis; and her siblings, Ann (Philip) Hamrock, Jim (Amy) Karle, John Karle, Joe Karle, and many nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Ralph & Mary Louise Karle and her siblings Mark Karle, Rosemary Weber, and Jerry Karle.
Her children will honor her life privately. To those who knew and loved her, we encourage you to celebrate her memory in a manner that reflects her essence: by planting flowers, enjoying a quiet cup of coffee, listening to the sounds of nature, bird watching, or basking in the warmth of the sun.
In lieu of flowers or donations, please honor her memory through these simple yet meaningful acts and raise a glass to the remarkable woman who we know would have skipped her own funeral if she could. Here’s to skipping her funeral together.
Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep:
“I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft star that shines at night.”
“This is too much shit.” – Jane Karle
