John E. Troxler, 66 of Logansport, passed away peacefully at his daughter’s home in Lafayette, surrounded by his family Monday, October 14, 2024, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born January 19, 1958, in Logansport, he was the son of the late Mary K. “Chickie” (Weaver) Troxler.
A 1976 graduate of Logansport High School, John went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology from Indiana State University in 1981.
On September 6, 1986, in Lockport, he was married to Judith (Ralstin) Troxler, who survives.
John retired from Subaru where he had worked as an engineering manager. He had previously worked for Federal Mogul for many years in Logansport, also as an engineering manager.
John was an exceptional photographer. He truly had an eye for capturing images and telling a story with a single shot – especially when it came to rail art. He loved to photograph any type of train. John was an audiophile who loved listening to classic rock.
Surviving with his wife, Judy, is his daughter and son-in-law, Jenna E. and Nick Cucore, of Lafayette; his sister, Theresa (Michael) Brennan; brother-in-law, John (Michelle) Ralstin; sister-in-law, Karen (Glenn) Hunt; two nephews, Stephen (Kiersten) Brennan, and Eric (Angela) Hunt; one niece, Angie (Dave) Reiff; his great-nephews, Brad Reiff, Craig Reiff, Tim Reiff, Broghan Halverson, Andrew Hunt and Griffen Hunt; and one great-great-nephew, Luke Reiff.
