Shirley M. Settlemyre

Shirley M. Settlemyre, 88, of Lafayette and formally of Logansport, passed away Sunday September 29, 2024, in Lafayette, Indiana at 9:43 AM.

Shirley was born on February 25, 1936, IN Logansport, Indiana to the late Paul W. and Olive M. (Miller) Settlemyre. She was a retired nurse for St. Elizbeth Hospital and had also worked at Arnett Clinic. She was a graduate from Logansport High school and St. Elizbeth Nursing College. 

Survivors include two sisters, Anita Settlemyre of Logansport, IN; Carol (Norman) Rhoades of Logansport, IN; brother, Charles Settlemyre of Logansport, IN; five nephews and four nieces, Dennis (DeeDee) Settlemyre of Logansport, IN; Mary McDoll from California; Mark (Julie) Settlemyre of New Palestine, IN; Brenda (Lannie) Ryan from Summitville, IN; Holly Tenhunfeld of Cincinnati, OH; Bill (Lori) Rhoades of Logansport, IN; Karen Rhoades; Scott (Trina) Hoch of Logansport, IN, and Renee (Bob) Smith of Campbellsburg, IN; several great nieces and nephews 

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Gary Settlemyre and her special friend of 40 plus years Thelma Neal. 

A visitation will be held at Gundrum Funeral Home in Logansport, IN on Friday October 4, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. till the time of the service.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the Gundrum Funeral Home with burial to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
