Steven Dale Shaw, Sr.

Steven Dale Shaw Sr., 76, of Rochester, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2024.

Born July 21, 1948, in Logansport, he was the son of the late Robert and Irene Fay (Cowger) Shaw.

Steve had worked as a machinist at Square D in Peru, Indiana.

For two years, Steve served in the United States Army, spending 10 months on foreign soil during the Vietnam War. He was proud to be a veteran. 

Steve enjoyed fishing and bowling. He was a long-time member of the Veterans of Foreign War.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara Shaw; his children, Michael Minniear, Iowa, Steven (Carla) Shaw Jr. Kentucky, Autumn (Brian) Thomas, Rochester and Sabrina Shaw, Florida; his sisters, Melissa (Dave) Kellems, Texas, Leslie Dishner, Logansport, and Robin (Richard) Small, Florida; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Debra Fultz.

A Funeral Service celebrating Steven’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19 in Fisher Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow in Ever-Rest Memorial Park
