Jerry L. Hellyer of Fishers, IN, passed away on November 18, 2024, at the age of 83.

He was born in Logansport, IN, on February 19, 1941, to parents Edgar and Dorothy (Bratcher) Hellyer. He graduated from Logansport High School in 1959.

Because of his love of music, he attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts after his graduation.

Jerry was an entrepreneur and started his communications business (T.A.S.I.) which later expanded and became Hellyer Communications.

Jerry’s favorite hobby was fishing, and he took many backpacking fishing trips to Canada.

He is survived by children Johnna (Hellyer) Mishelow, Jerry Hellyer, Jr., Brad Hellyer, Erik Hellyer, Amanda Hellyer and grandchildren, Jenna Mishelow, Joelle (Mishelow) Rivera, Spencer Mishelow, Parker Hellyer, Austin Hellyer, Tony Hellyer, and Katie Hellyer.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Edgar and Dorthy Hellyer, and granddaughter Jessica Hellyer.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
