GROCERIES:

Walmart – Closed Thanksgiving Day. They will close at 11 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27 and will reopen at 6 a.m. Friday, Nov. 29, 2024.
Aldi – Closed Thanksgiving Day
Martin’s Supermarket – Open until 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day

TRASH COLLECTION

LOGANSPORT TRASH PICK-UP:
Thursday, November 28, 2024 – No trash or recycle pickup
Friday, November 29, 2024 – Thursday’s trash/recycle pickup
Saturday, November 30, 2024 – Friday’s trash/recycle pickup

CLOSURES

Area Five Agency will be closed Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29, 2024.

Cass Area Transit will be closed Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29, 2024. The Saturday Bus will not run on Saturday, Nov. 30. They will open again for business on Monday, Dec. 2, 2024.

Cass County Government Building (courthouse) will be closed Thursday, Nov. 28 & Friday, Nov. 29, 2024.

Walton Town Hall will be closed Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29, 2024 in observance of Thanksgiving.

Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicle (BMV) branches will be closed Thursday, November 28 through Saturday, November 30 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Branches will resume regularly scheduled business hours on Monday, December 2, 2024.

Logansport Utilities’ offices will be closed on Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29, 2024 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Normal business hours will resume on Monday, December 2, 2024.

Logansport Memorial Hospital: On Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, Nov. 28, 2024), the Main Entrance at Logansport Memorial Hospital will be closed in observance of the holiday. Please enter through the Emergency Department Entrance. On Friday, November 29 the Main Entrance will be open from 6 a.m. – 2 p.m. After 2 p.m. on Friday, patients and visitors should enter through the Emergency Department Entrance.

U.S. Postal Service: There will be no mail delivery and post offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 28, 2024.

All Emmaus Mission facilities will be closed Thursday, Nov. 28, 2024.

The Cass County Solid Waste recycling warehouse will be closed Thursday, November 28, and Friday November 29, 2024.

The Cass County Health Department will be closed Thursday, Nov. 28, 2024.

EVENTS

Thanksgiving Vacation for K-12 schools in Cass County, Indiana scheduled as follows:

The 28th Annual Turkey Trot will be held on Thanksgiving morning (Nov. 28) at the Cass County YMCA. You may encounter road closures along the route during the event.

The 8th Annual Christmas in the Park Drive-Through hosted by the Logansport Parks and Recreation Foundation Nov. 27 – Jan. 5 at Spencer Park, 3319 High Street in Logansport. Lights on from dusk to dawn. Monday and Tuesday nights are walk-through only – enter from East Broadway / Cass Plaza Road. Free will donations accepted.

The Cass County Carousel will be open both Friday, November 29, and Saturday November 30, 2024 from 1-5 p.m. The Cass County Community Foundation’s “Thanks-for Giving” Grant will provide funds to be used to pay the expenses for the Carousel’s Friday and Saturday opening after the Thanksgiving holiday and will allow all rides to be free. | More i nfo

The Light Up Logansport Parade will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, 2024. This year, the event will include several new activities:

Nov. 29, 2024
2 p.m. – Free Christmas Movie at the State Theatre
4 p.m. – Food vendors providing cookies, meatballs, kettle corn, hot dogs, coffee, tacos and more
6 p.m. Light Up Logansport Parade starts
7 p.m. First annual Christmas Tree Lighting at Iron Horse Park (4th and Melbourne) starts at 7 p.m. with Santa and more.

Logan’s Landing’s annual Downtown Christmas Open House will be held on Small Business Saturday, which is Nov. 30, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Cass County Carousel will host Winterfest from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, 2024.
