Carolyn J. “Carol” Glendenning Miiller, age 78, Logansport, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, December 22, 2024, in her residence.

Born March 3, 1946, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Quinton and Vera Jean Webb Glendenning. Her parents preceded her in death.

She married James Miiller on June 11, 1976, in Logansport. He preceded her in death March 20, 2022. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Stephanie Kathleen Rhodes Reida Baker, and granddaughter, Tara Danielle Rhodes; brothers, Michael Warren Glendenning and Harold Glendenning.

Surviving are an adopted daughter, Shellie Riggle; granddaughter, Kesha Reida and her daughter, Stephanie Danielle Reid; brothers, Allen Glendenning, Dewayne Glendenning; sister, Becky, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Carol and her husband owned and operated “Miiller’s Past Time Antiques”, located on Logansport’s West Side, for many years. 

Carol was a lifetime member for over fifty years of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Post 3790, where she was the past Junior Vice President and Chaplain. She had also been treasurer of the Peru, Indiana, Post. She recently was the Chaplain of the American Legion Post 60 Auxiliary.

She had been a member of the board of directors of the Mental Health Association in Cass County.

Carol was active in the Iron Horse Festival during its early years. During the Festival, she was often seen in her hand-made Victorian gowns as she rode the trains and walked the Festival area.

Her passions in life were her husband, Jim, her children, grand children and great grandchildren. She loved he fish pond, flower gardens, antiques, Karing for Kids and putting up her Native American Lodge and living in it for days at a time. She was the head lady dancer at Trail of Courage 2012 and 2013.

Her most prized positions, other than family, were her many good friends that helped her through the good and bad times in life.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 26th, at Kroeger-Crain Funeral Home.  The VFW Auxiliary will conduct a memorial service during visitation.

The funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 27th, also at the funeral home, with Rev Ken Smith officiating. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the funeral.

Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
