Jack Granger, 82, of Kokomo, formerly of Highland, Indiana, passed away at 11:30 PM Wednesday November 27, 2024, at North Woods Village in Kokomo. He was born September 28, 1942, in Hammond, Indiana to Edward and Anne (Fleming) Gonsiorowski. He married Carole Fuss on July 24, 1965, In Hammond, Indiana, and she preceded him in death on November 2, 2021.
Jack retired from Hanover Central High School as a Spanish teacher in 1999, after 34 years of service. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Kokomo, the Knights of Columbus in Kokomo, and enjoyed traveling and gardening.
Surviving family include two sons, Eric (Karen) Granger of Lafayette and David Granger of Kokomo. He is also survived by two sisters in law, Carol Gonsiorowski of Griffith IN, Marilyn Stanish of Munster, IN, and one brother-in-law, Ken Fuss, and several nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, his sister and brother-in-law Rita (Gonsiorowski) and Richard Ciesco, his sister Sr. Arlene Gonsiorowski OSF, and his brother Daniel Gonsiorowski.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday December 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Kokomo with Rev. Fr. Christopher Shocklee officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday December 1, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston.
