Josephine M. “Toots” (Selvio) Flory

Josephine M. “Toots” Flory, age 87, Logansport, passed away at 8:58 a.m. Wednesday, December 25, 2024, in Community Howard Hospital, Kokomo.

Born January 21, 1937, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Albert and Angeline Pasquale Selvio.

On September 29, 1956, in St. Vincent de Paul Church, she married Samuel “Sam” Flory, who preceded her in death December 7, 2010.

Josephine attended St. Vincent de Paul School and was a 1954 graduate of Logansport High School. She enjoyed her class reunions, most recently the 70th.

She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and the William Paca Lodge, Sons of Italy in America.

Toots enjoyed collecting cookbooks and local recipes when she traveled. She loved feeding the birds, especially humming birds, and also enjoyed crafts and painting ceramics.

Surviving are her children, Elizabeth “Beth” (Allan) Billings, Marion, Iowa, Tina (Brad) Nicoll, Logansport, and Steven (Melissa) Flory, Goshen.

Also surviving are grandchildren, Tonya Novak, Sara Thiessen, Clint Billings, Marsha Bullock, Brandon Nicoll, Alex Nicoll, Scott Flory, Katelynn Flory; twelve great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Two great grandchildren and a brother and sister-in-law, James and Susie Selvio, preceded her in death.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 31st, at All Saints Catholic Church, with Father Adam Mauman officiating.

Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, prior to the funeral mass, in the All Saints Parish Hall.

Interment will be at a later date in Bethel Cemetery, Cass County.
