Friends and family are invited to honor James’s incredible life at a Celebration of Life gathering on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at the Logansport Moose Lodge #232 on East Main Street from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. 

James Anthony Zepeda, a beloved and cherished soul, passed away January 25, 2025, at IU Health West in Avon, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and resilience. Born on May 20, 1965, San Antonio, Texas, James lived a life full of laughter, hard work, and unwavering compassion.

James was the son of Connie (Jack) Bostic of Royal Center and Armando (Chris) Zepeda of San Antonio, TX. He was the treasured brother of Kim Zepeda Monticello, Cindy (Ken) Stevens Logansport, Rob (Lesa) Williamson Noblesville, and Sami (Brad) Urban West Lafayette. James was adored by his nieces and nephews Missy Smith, Michelle Roland, Josh Zepeda, Hannah Williamson, Jake and Thomas Urban, and further blessed with great-nieces and nephews Bella and Brody Wagoner, and Ellie Roland. Family was everything to James, and his love for them knew no bounds.

A 1983 graduate of Logansport High School, James later earned an associate’s degree in Industrial Technical Maintenance (1991). He brought an extraordinary work ethic and warmth to every role he held. James served as a Housekeeping Supervisor at Logansport State Hospital until 1993 and was a dedicated employee at Twin Rivers Medical Lab for over 30 years. He also pursued entrepreneurial dreams, owning and operating Chances Bar and Grill and Zepeda Services.

James was a long-time resident of Logansport, Indiana, where he was known for his radiant smile, his infectious laugh, and his willingness to go above and beyond for anyone in need. He was the person who could brighten any room with his energy and genuine kindness, and he never let life’s challenges dim his spirit. He had a heart bigger than most, and his generosity and humor left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

His cremation will be handled with dignity and care by Kroeger-Crain Funeral & Cremation.

James Zepeda lived his life with love, laughter, and unshakable positivity. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all whose lives he touched.
