Annetta Marie “Bunny” Chesley, 58, of Walton, Indiana died unexpectedly on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at 8:26 a.m., in the Indiana University Methodist Hospital of Indianapolis, Indiana. Ms Anne’s legacy will carry on in so many for her relentless wish was to donate life to others.
Ms Anne was born on Friday, August 12, 1966, in Muncie, Indiana to her loving parents Larry Metzger and Patricia Ann (Johns) Metzger.
On November 25, 2023, in Talma, Indiana she married Alan Chesley. He survives.
Ms Anne was a Tippecanoe Valley High School Graduate in Mentone, Indiana. She moved on to Memorial Hospital of South Bend School of Nursing where she graduated with honors. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Indiana University of Kokomo. Ms Anne had worked as a nurse at the Logansport Juvenile Correctional Facility. She was a very kind, caring, and loving person who always put others needs before her own. After spending her life taking care of others her last act of love was to donate organs and tissue to help others in need. She loved life, enjoyed the little things in life and enjoyed spending time with her family the most.
Ms Anne is survived by her husband, Alan Chesley of Walton, Indiana, children, Sidney (husband Ryan) Grover of Erie, Michigan, Nathan (wife Aisha) Tigler of New Waverly, Indiana, and Emily (husband Cayl) Garland of Walton, Indiana; step-son, Alan Chesley, III of Kokomo, Indiana, grandson, Zane Grover, mother, Patricia Metzger of Talma, Indiana, brother, Mark (wife Jennifer) Metzger of Talma, Indiana, mother-in-law, Susan Turner of Galveston, Indiana, brother-in-law, Russell Chesley of Galveston, Indiana
Ms Anne was preceded in death by her father, Larry Metzger, nephew, Parker Metzger.
As per her wishes she will be cremated and forego a public ceremony or funeral. The family will celebrate her life in a private ceremony and to continue with her passion of caring for others.
A private family celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
