
Clarence H. McCullum

Clarence H. McCullum, 87, Logansport, passed away Friday afternoon, February 7, 2025, in Miller’s Merry Manor with his family by his side.
Born June 30, 1937, in Corydon, Indiana, he was the son of the late Ruel Edward and Mina Myrtle (Heishman) McCullum.
After graduating from Corydon High School, Clarence enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served four years during Peacetime.
On January 11, 1958, at the Logansport Church of the Nazarene. he was married to Carol Mae (Shaw) McCullum, who survives.
Clarence had a strong work ethic. After working at Popejoy Poultry, which became Troyer Poultry, for over thirty years, Clarence retired. He then dedicated twenty years working at Kauffman Manufacturing before retiring.
A sports enthusiast, it was Indiana all the way as he followed the Colts, the Hoosiers and the Pacers. Clarence looked forward to warmer weather so he could spend time in his yard and his garden.
Surviving with his wife are four sons, Clarence R. “Rick” McCullum, Gerry McCullum and Scott McCullum, all of Logansport, and David (Marlene) McCullum, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one brother, Robert McCullum; one sister, Sharon Mathis; eight grandchildren: Shawn McCullum, Paula (Brandi) McCullum, Kayla McCullum, Chad McCullum, Ryan (Jenny) McCullum, Brandi (Charlie) Schalabach, Renate (Stephen) Arther, and Nathan DeWitt; seven great grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Clarence was preceded in death by two grandsons, Richard Wayne McCullum and Justin Edward McCullum; two sisters, Janice Yeager and Bonnie Stevens; one sister-in-law, Geraldine McCullem; and three brothers-in-law, Keith Yeager, Paul Mathis, and Nelson Stevens.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 12 in Fisher Funeral Chapel, Logansport. Pastor Jeff Allen will officiate at the service.
Burial, with full military honors, will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cass County Honor Guard.
