Frederick Vern Holcomb

Frederick Vern Holcomb, 81, of Logansport, Indiana, passed away at home Monday morning, February 10, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born July 7, 1943, in Cass County, Indiana, he was the son of the late Harold and Amanda (Pugh) Holcomb.

On October 29, 1979, in Logansport, he was married to Louise (Baker) Holcomb, who survives.

Fred was a graduate of Royal Center High School. He was retired from Elco where he had worked as a tool maker.

He had a natural ability for all things mechanical and Fred enjoyed just piddling around in his garage.

Surviving with his wife of 45 years are four sons, Michael (Brigid) Holcomb, Ed (Beth) Holcomb, Dirk (Susan) Holcomb, and Wayne (Beth) Skaggs; grandchildren, Jesssey (Anna) Holcomb, Danyel (Jordan) Bailey, Zack Holcomb, Aron (Ashley) Holcomb, AJ Brewer, CJ Brewer, Nicholas (Hope) Holcomb, Lindsay (Josh) Benn, Jon Skaggs, Spencer Skaggs, and Sam Skaggs; and great-grandchildren, Mykah, Gyllean and Jozlyn Holcomb, Lane and Aly Holcomb, Matthew, Zoey, Chloe & Madison Holcomb, and Mikeal and Mollie Benn.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda Brewers; and siblings, James Holcomb and Linda Easterday.

A private family visitation was held in Fisher Funeral Chapel.
