Jean Alice Shepard

Jean Alice Shepard, 89, Logansport, Indiana, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2025, in the emergency room at Logansport Memorial Hospital,

Born April 15, 1935, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Earl and Elmina Mae (Stout) Groninger.

She was married to Robert Lee Shepard, who preceded her in death on November 29, 2002.

Jean had worked as an assembler at RBM. She was retired from the Logansport Community School Corporation where she had worked in the cafeteria.

Watching hummingbirds was her favorite past time. She also enjoyed tending to the beautiful flowers in her garden. Jean’s favorite holiday was Christmas, and she looked forward to sharing that special day with all of her family.

Surviving are two daughters, Donna (Steven) Foster, and Connie Shepard, all of Logansport; one sister, (Nancy (Ronnie) Grable, Logansport; Also surviving is her longtime companion, her sweet Boston Terrier, Jerry Lee.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Dorothy, Mary Ann, Tom, Betty, Barb and Terry; and her beloved dog, Brute.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 12 in the Mount Hope Cemetery Chapel in Logansport. Family and friends will gather from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
