Jeremy David James, 53, Logansport, Indiana, passed away Thursday evening, February 20, 2025, at his twin sister’s home surrounded by his family. Just 9 weeks ago, he was diagnosed with lung cancer that had metastasized throughout his body. He fought it with all his might, he was not ready to go.
Born July 17, 1971, in Logansport, he was the son of the late Patty Mae June (Knapp) ad Charles Richard James, Sr.
On May 1, 2004, he was married to Stacey (Benn) James, who survives.
Jeremy had a strong work ethic and had been employed as a laborer, mainly in the roofing business. He was also the caregiver to was often called upon to help people move as he had the art of moving down to a science.
His hobbies including fishing and watching any kind of racing sport – especially at Kokomo Speedway.
Surviving with his wife, Stacey, are his son, Charles Richard (Caitlin) James III, Logansport; his daughter, Juliana Benn, Logansport; two brothers, Jon (Denise) James and Jerry (April) James; four sisters, his twin Juliana (Jason) Utter, Janice Brumett, Jennifer Rogers (Mark Clements) and Jeannine (Cary) Goodman; and his precious grandchildren, Jasper and Jayleigh James, Kimberly Brock, and Amethyst, Benjamin, and twins Jessalyn and Jameson Benn.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Jo James; four brothers, Charles, Jamie, Jeff and Joe James; and his grandson, Jaxson Martin.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25 at the at Fisher Funeral Chapel.
A Funeral Service celebrating Jeremy’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26 in the funeral chapel.
Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
