Robert (Bob) A. Edgerly, age 69, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2025, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Born on May 10, 1955, in Logansport, Bob was the son of the late Fred and Betty Edgerly.

On October 9, 1982, he married Gayle Bowyer, who survives.

Bob was a devoted dad to son, Brody. He was active in coaching Brody’s Little League and Babe Ruth teams and spent countless hours supporting his baseball, football, and basketball games in high school and college.

Bob graduated from Logansport High School in 1973 and went on to get a business degree from Indiana University, Bloomington. He was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity where he developed many lifelong friendships.

Bob spent his management career working in several facilities including Woodlawn Center, Elco Industries, Wabash National and Sunoco Industries.

Bob was a huge sports fan, and an avid Indiana Hoosier fan. He had a love for the outdoors especially golfing, deer hunting, fishing, and mushroom hunting.

He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and was very proud of his father’s service to our country.  He had a big heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to friends and family no matter the task. He will be deeply missed.

In addition to his wife and son, Bob is survived by his twin sister, Kathy (Stan) DeHaven; brother, John Edgerly; several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Connie, and nephew, Scott DeHaven.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and therapists at Lutheran Hospital for their compassionate care during this difficult time. 

Memorial donations may be made to the Sons of the American Legion, Post 60.

Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on February 28, 2025, at Kroeger-Crain Funeral Home, Logansport.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Kroeger-Crain Funeral Home, with interment immediately following at Ever-Rest Memorial Park
