Martha Jane Young

Martha Jane Young, age 103, of Logansport, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Woodbridge Health Campus.

Born December 2, 1921, in Wabash, IN to the late Press and Hazel (Lytle) Brown. On August 18, 1940, in Wabash, IN she married Herbert B. Young who preceded in death June 3, 1981.

Martha was an angel of a woman, a wonderful loving mother, homemaker, a long-time member of Calvary Presbyterian Church and a champion at making Christmas cookies.

Survivors include one son, Mark (Lisa) Young, one brother, Glen Brown, grandchildren, Jennifer (John) Hatch, Erika (Ninad) Bandodkar, Jacquelynn Schnepp, Jamie Schnepp, Logan (Keylee) Young, Landon Young and Lezlie (Garren) Johannson, great-grandchildren Evan and Owen (Jordyn) Crowel, Lenora Johannson, Adalee and Emersyn Young, Caitlyn Hare, Cameron Hare and Joslyn Schnepp; one great-great grandchild, Hayes Crowel and several nieces and nephews

Martha was preceded in death by two daughters, Sharon Young, Jane Schnepp, a grandson, Jeff Schnepp and two sisters.

A celebration of life service will be held at noon on Saturday March 15, 2025, in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Lute officiating. Burial will follow in the Pisgah Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the time of services Saturday at the funeral home at 12:00 pm.
