Karen Sue Martin, 75, of Logansport passed away early Tuesday morning, April 22, 2025, at home surrounded by her family.

She was born on September 24, 1949, in Logansport, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Everett Lee and Patricia S. (Henry) Hinkle. Her mother, Patricia Hinkle, survives in Logansport.

On December 29, 1969, in Logansport, she married Larry Martin, who preceded her in death on May 7, 2010.

In 1969, Karen graduated from Logansport High School. She was retired from Kauffman Engineering. Inc.

Karen found joy in the simple yet beautiful things in life-bringing creativity to her crafts, nurturing her garden with care, and, most of all, making memories with her grandchildren. These were the things that filled her heart and made her happiest.

Surviving with her mother are two daughters, Michelle (Mark Norville) Benson, of Brownsburg, IN, and Randi Ousley (fiance, Rob Weaver) of Fortville, IN; brother, William “Buster” Hinkle; three sisters, Rena (Keith) Kottkamp, Judith Rolewicz, and Lois Fowler; and three grandchildren, Collin Benson, Karynne Ousley, Kamryn Ousley.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 27 in Fisher Funeral Chapel

A funeral service celebrating Karen’s life will be held 11 a.m. Monday, April 28 in the funeral chapel.

Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
