Gladys A. Magers

Gladys A. Magers, 52 of Logansport, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025, in the Logansport Memorial Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born August 27, 1972, in Valparaiso, IN, she was the daughter of the late William Thomas and Shirley Jean (Hess) Conn.

On September 3, 2018, she was preceded in death by her fiancé and companion on 31 years, Joseph Wayne “Joe” Strickland.

Gladys loved being a grandmother. She enjoyed playing and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her three children, Judy Magers, Hope (Nick) Holcomb, and James Magers; one brother, Joe (Rena) Magers; one sister, Betty (Levi) Spann; six grandchildren, Alex Vernon, Korrey Magers, Matthew Holcomb, Zoey Holcomb, Khloe Holcomb, and Madison Holcomb; nephew, Nathan (Sara) Spann and Brandon Magers; niece, Shania Spann, Heather Green-Wallace, Sara Gibbs, Amber Magers, Kayla Magers and Kaitlyn Johnson; several cousins; and Jeff Weaver – a special friend of the family.

Preceded in death by sister Judy Gudas, son-in-law Josh Vernon and nephew Jeffrey Green.
