Jane Ann (Fellers) Viney, age 83, Logansport, passed away at 5:05 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2025, in Miller’s Merry Manor.
Born October 26, 1941, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Logansport, she was the daughter of Harold “Shorty” and Helen Rush Fellers.
On March 10, 1979, she was married to Merle Viney, who preceded her in death.
Jane attended St. Vincent de Paul School and was a 1960 graduate of Logansport High School.
She retired after 31½ years of employment at BTR (General Tire).
For 40 years Jane enjoyed bowling and participated in a number of city, state, and national bowling tournaments. She held offices in the Women’s Bowling Association.
Jane was a charter life member and past president of the VFW Auxiliary Post 3790, Logansport. She was past district president with her husband as past district commander in the same year.
She enjoyed playing cards and playing bingo.
In addition to her VFW auxiliary activities, Jane was a member of the Women of the Moose, life member of the Rochester American Legion Auxiliary, Logansport Elkettes, and the auxiliary of the former Logansport Eagles.
Surviving are a sister, Alyce Hallam, Logansport; brother, Michael Fellers, Logansport; nephews, Carl (Kris) Hallam, Edward Hallam; great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 9th, at Kroeger-Crain Funeral Home. The VFW Post 3790 Auxiliary will conduct their Memorial Service at 12:45 p.m. Friday.
The Funeral Service is at 1:00 p.m. Friday, with Father Michael Block officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
