Joyce Ann Dalton, 78, Logansport, Indiana, passed away Monday, May 5, 2025, in her home.
Born November 11, 1946, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Charles D and Marjorie Sue (Hoch) Hardt.
On January 4, 2000, she was married to Jeffrey Norman Dalton who preceded her in death on May 1, 2023.
Joyce was a 1965 graduate of Logansport High School. She completed her education at the St. Joseph School of Nursing in Memphis, Tennessee, and loved working as a Registered Nurse. For most of her career, Joyce had worked as a director of nursing in long term care facilities.
A member of Faith Community Church, Joyce looked forward to Bible study each week While in Memphis, she was a member of the Moose Lodge. She loved to cross-stitch. Joyce enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles and playing games with family and friends. But more than anything else, she loved spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her children: Matthew (Tina) Ervin, and April “Michelle” (Nathan) Allen; one sister, Carol McGhee, eight grandchildrenn: Shane Eskildsen, Patience See, Breanna Nilson, Quintin Nilson, Carissa Allen, Benjuman Favors, and Braiden Allen; and five great-grandchildren: Eli Eskildsen, Allen VanEs, Ivory Brewer, Austin Titus, and Brooklyn Titus.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Charles “Frank” Hardt and John Hardt; granddaughter, Heather Titus; and daughter, Shannon See.
Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10th, at Fisher Funeral Chapel, Logansport.
The Nursing Honor Guard serving North Central Indiana will conduct a ceremony at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10th, to honor Joyce’s many years of dedication as a nurse. A memorial service celebrating Joyce’s life will follow with Pastor Mike Montgomery officiating.
Burial will follow in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
