Peggy Baker, 63, of Camden, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning, May 4, 2025, at home.
Born June 12, 1961, in Logansport, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Beverly Dillon.
On Leap Day, February 29, 2020, she was married to Patrick Baker, who survives.
Peggy was a graduate of Pioneer High School. She received her CNA and QMA certification after beginning her career in healthcare at the Logansport State Hospital. Wherever she worked, she had a strong work ethic and was well=loved by her co-workers. She had worked at Wabash in Lafayette and as a QMA at the Miami Correctional Facility and the nursing home at Grissom. She loved working in the emergency room at the South Bend Memorial Hospital. She was previously employed as a cafeteria helper in the Logansport Community School Corporation.
Peggy’s creativity shone through in her painting and crafting, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandkids. They kept her young at heart, and in return, they hold many cherished memories of their beloved grandma.
Surviving with her husband, Patrick, are two children, Jeff Anderson and Jennifer Anderson; her stepchildren, Ben (Erica) Baker, and Elliott “Joe” Baker; one brother, Brian (Carla) Dillon; three sisters, Linda (Steve) Livesay, Pam Mann, and LouAnn Hudson; and her precious grandchildren, Ethan Cooksey, Alayna Cooksey, Wyatt Anderson, Christian Anderson, Isaiah Elzbeck, Jarrett Hughes, Elena Sherwood, and Greyson Sherwood.
She was preceded in death by on son, Aaron Anderson.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, May 9 in Fisher Funeral Chapel.
A funeral service celebrating Peggy’s life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 10 in the funeral chapel with Dawn Fisher officiating.
Burial will follow in the Walton IOOF Cemetery
