Karen Sue Hahn Kitts, 80, of Galveston, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1944, in Kokomo to Irel M. and Ruth L. (Walls) Hahn. After a blind date with Stephen Roger Kitts on July 19, 1968, they were married on August 24, 1968. He survives. 

Sue worked as a secretary for many years.  She had a contagious smile and was a wonderful cook and baker. She loved entertaining guests for all occasions, such as church events, holidays, and especially around her pool.

Surviving family include her children, Stephen Roger Kitts II and wife Meredith Kitts of Galveston, and Kimberly (Brian) Kersten of Kokomo.  She is also survived by her two grandsons, Stephen Roger Kitts III, and Jacob Kitts, the children of Stephen II and Meredith.  One sister also survives, Judith Heinmiller of Spencer, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Doctor Bruce Coats officiating.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Saturday.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the National Down Syndrome Society, 155 15th Street NW, Suite 540, Washington, DC 20005
