Ezekiel A. “Zeke” Sheppard

Ezekiel A. “Zeke” Sheppard, age 20, passed away peacefully, surrounded by those who nursed and cared for him, and loved him, on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, in Camelot Care Center.

Born April 22, 2005, in Marion, Indiana, he was the son of Heath Sheppard and Tonya Boyd.

Zeke attended school in Logansport until his disability made further attendance difficult.

Throughout his struggles, Zeke loved to have people talk to him. He loved county music. And he always had a smile on his face.

He is survived by his father, Heath, and mother, Tonya.

His Camelot Care Community was a beloved family to him, with Shawnda Tharp serving as his legal guardian and a beloved friend as well.

His constant companion was a stuffed alligator toy, which helped to position and support him in bed.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 18th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, at Kroeger-Crain Funeral Home. A procession to Mount Hope Cemetery will leave the funeral home shortly after 12:00 noon, to arrive at the Mount Hope Cemetery chapel for a service scheduled at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Jeff Hayes of Spring Creek Christian Church will officiate at the service.

Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
