James (Jim) Pasquale passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Miller’s Merry Manor after a battle with stomach cancer. He spent his last few weeks surrounded by his loving family.

Born July 12, 1937, in his grandparent’s home, to Nicholas and Catherine (Bessignano) Pasquale. Jim went to St. Vincent’s elementary school and graduated from Logansport high school in 1956 and played football for the Logansport Berries.

On October 10, 1959, he was married to Sherry Mae Loser, who survives him.

Jim is survived by his daughters, Andrea (Bruce) Vernon and Marcia (Tony) Hayden. Also surviving are four grandsons-Dominic (Veronica) Vernon, AJ (Hillary) Hayden, Andrew (Christen) Vernon, and David (Amy) Hayden. There are also six great grandsons and two great-granddaughters.

Jim is also survived by two sisters, Mary Catherine (Gene) Miller, and Margaret (Harry) Fouts, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two infant brothers, a five year old sister, and sister and brother-in-law, Rosann and Kenny Haines.

Anyone who knew Jim knew that his commitment to God, family, Notre Dame Football, and his church family were his passions in life. He never missed church, a family event, and he never missed watching a Notre Dame football game!

Jim also enjoyed riding motorcycles for 20+ years and was very active with Sherry in the Christian Motorcycle Association.

He enjoyed traveling with family and friends for many years.

His family was his pride and joy and he considered them his “garden” from God to tend to and pray for. Jim lived his life to fullest. He was a very hospitable and generous man who loved to laugh and enjoyed a fun party! He was always ready to help meet the needs of others.

Jim’s career was multi-faceted. He worked at Studebaker in South Bend, IN. He then served in the United States Army. He and Sherry returned to Logansport where he worked at Exide Battery Company. He went to IU in Kokomo studying business and management. He worked in management and quality control at Essex Wire, Switches (Federal Mogul) and then retired from United Technology.

Along the way he also became a part-time barber and had a 5 year break from manufacturing management in the late 1970’s when he bought his uncle’s tavern and restaurant business, the Neighborhood Tavern.

Jim and Sherry had a life change in the late 1970’s and went from being religious people to having a vital and active relationship with Jesus Christ. Life was a good ride for Jim, but nothing compared to the eternal life ride he is experiencing now!

There will be a private family graveside service and then a Memorial service at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be given to Vineyard Community Church, 2625 E Market St. Logansport, IN 46947.
