Kim Elaine Warren (née Leeman) passed away on Christmas Day in her new Carmel, Indiana home after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Kim was born in Noblesville, Indiana and graduated from Logansport High School. She attended Purdue University and graduated in 1976 with a degree in Retailing. She spent her early professional career as a Buyer for L.S. Ayres & Company. Kim married Daniel Garrad (Gary) Warren, III and celebrated 44 years of marriage just days before her passing.
Kim was the proud mother of son, Andy, and grandmother of Lark. Her boys were the joy of her life. Kim was the true definition of a “corporate wife”, happily moving her family and making new friends wherever Gary’s career took him. She moved 11 times in 44 years, and in addition to Indianapolis, lived in Greenville, SC: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; Mendham, NJ; St. Louis, MO; Longboat Key, FL; and Charleston, SC.
She was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority, was very active with the St. Margaret’s Hospital Guild showhouse, serving as Decorator Chair twice, and was an early supporter and Board member of 100 Voices of Hope helping raise money for breast cancer research.
Prior to her passing, she was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh Leeman and Carolyn (Kelly) Leeman, and stepmother Emmy (Speicher) Leeman. Kim is survived by her husband Gary Warren, (Carmel and Culver, IN) son Andy Warren (Mandy) of New York, NY, brothers Kelly Leeman (Logansport, IN) and Kevin Leeman (Amboy, IN), numerous nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
A memorial service will not be held, but a celebration of life will be scheduled for a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to:
