
Cass County Sheriff’s Office announces retirement of Major Kevin Pruiett after 37 years of service

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is honored to announce the retirement of Major Kevin Pruiett.
Major Pruiett dedicated more than 37 years to serving the citizens of Cass County. Major Pruiett was sworn in as a deputy on May 1, 1989, and his last day of service was June 12, 2026. Through his career, he served as a road deputy, Detective, Sergeant, and Major or Chief Deputy. Major Pruiett attended numerous specialized classes during his career as well as being a firearms instructor for the Sheriff’s Office and at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy.
Major Pruiett is a lifelong resident of Cass County and a 1982 graduate of Caston High School. He graduated from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in Plainfield, Indiana, in 1989.
The staff of the Cass County Sheriff’s Office extends heartfelt gratitude to Major Pruiett for his unwavering service and dedication.
